I met Miss Sarah in her hut down a dusty, dirt road in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of South Africa. She sat squarely in the center of her home peacefully beading; we sat in awe of her focus and speechless radiance. Suddenly she broke into song. To this day I don't know what she sang about but it was one of the most beautiful things I've witnessed. There was no opulence to speak of, yet her simplicity and infectious smile touched my soul.
I photographed and designed a brochure for the ladies of Amangwe Zulu Craft to encourage awareness and revenue at craft fairs, both in Africa and abroad.
A very satisfying meal at Sally Loo's Wholesome Cafe in the fun academic town of SLO.

In the prime of blueberry season, one should find their way to Bow, WA. Plump blueberries beckon from the vine as bees buzz by drunk on summer. Blueberry ice cream awaits when sweat accumulates on the brow from hours of removing the much anticipated berries. With more than a few varieties, you will find a berry that tastes like nothing you've tasted before. Bow Hill Blueberry Farm is a delight.
Down the street in Edison, you will also find the most amazing and well worth the wait lunch your taste buds have ever dreamed of. Grab some cash and an appetite for lunch at Tweets.
In my early wanderlust years, when I traveled abroad every year for my birthday, I found myself turning 25 in Greece. Somewhere I stumbled upon an article about Folegandros in a travel magazine and knew I had to go. So I did. Solo. I'm certain I only saw 20% of the island but what I did experience was beautiful, serene and authentically Greece.
Wine tasting on a bike tour.
Exercising while drinking wine is a stellar and delicious concept yet I'm fairly certain I don't recall the last few miles on my bike.
However, my mind was still clear at Mission Estate Winery and their wines were out of this world. I typically prefer red over white but this winery converted me to a white drinker. Smooth as butter.
While this image doesn't depict bikes or wine, I adore the verdant, overlapping texture found at their estate.
